I do think the 'miss communication' contributed to this. I hope Dmitry will rethink this and keep himself in the TV team. I think it would be a shame if he didn't come back. TYPO3 is built on folks helping each other and Dmitry has done A LOT for TV and it would be great if he would rethink this.
Thanks to you all for this great extension.

Hey Tolleiv,
wow man.. seems like something went totally wrong here, too bad Dmitry left but maybe its also a chance for a fresh start, who knows. Anyway, TV always felt bug-free to me and I'm sure you guys will maintain it just as good as you did over the last years. :)

Well you have this fear because you obviously didn't loook into everything (which is easy using SVN) - ever checked who started the (possibly buggy) 1.4.x ? Just to give you the direction -> neither Steffen nor me ;)

I think Sebastian just got the point straight - pragatism, perfectionism and attitude towards code quality. That's the fear I am having right now about the future of TV.

Progress is surely something good - but progress without control? I fear TV is drifting towards some fancy playground with -which I admit - wishfully great features, BUT the best features are useless if you loose the focus on making them qualitative.

Really a pitty that Dmitry left TV. I'm a fan of his pragmatism, perfectionism and his attitude towards code quality.
I'm not yet convinced that his decision is final.

thanks so much for your openness in explaining what happened backstage. as an ordinary admin who depends heavily on TV it was just a nightmare to read all these cryptic comments and not knowing what will be the future of TV.
i wish you all the best to re-birth of TV.
